PennHIP Evaluation

PennHIP (Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program) is an advanced hip evaluation designed to assess a dog’s risk of developing hip dysplasia. Unlike traditional hip X-rays alone, PennHIP measures hip joint laxity—the amount of looseness in the hip joint—which is one of the strongest predictors of future hip health.

This objective evaluation provides breeders with valuable information when selecting breeding pairs, helping reduce the incidence of hip dysplasia and promote stronger, healthier bloodlines.

At Be the Boss Dog Training, we believe responsible breeding means using the most reliable tools available to make informed decisions. Odo has completed a PennHIP evaluation, and his official results are available below as part of our commitment to health, transparency, and preserving the long-term soundness of the Standard Poodle.
